Grinding parameters are directly related to the grinding rate, which in turn affects the performance and operating efficiency of the diamond grinding wheel. The main grinding parameters that affect the grinding rate are speed per minute, grinding rate and grinding depth.
The revolutions per minute of the grinding wheel are calculated based on the peripheral speed of the grinding wheel. The speed per minute of the grinding wheel is directly related to the resulting polished surface finish. However, the increase in rotational speed is limited by the specifications of the diamond adhesive.
Grinding speed is a very important operating parameter. During grinding process, when the cycle time is considered as a production factor, the grinding speed can be the most important performance indicator. The grinding speed of the wheel depends on the amount of glass ground. If it is used to grind the chamfered glass of the windshield, the amount of edging is smaller than the amount of fine edging.
