Cermet is an important tool material that includes non-metallic refractory composites (ceramics) and metal bond with lower melting point. Diamond wheels grind cermet. In Europe and the United States, all carbonitride-containing materials are generally considered to be cermets. In Japan, cermets refer only to those materials that contain titanium carbide. Resin diamond wheel can be used for  peripheral grinding . At present, as for the peripheral grinding machines, the grinding wheel frame not only performs high-speed rotation but also axial swing, so that the grinding wheel is generally not trimmed during the whole grinding process to avoid huge waste.
